Online Scheduling Now Available for Screening Mammography
Desert West patients can now schedule screening mammograms online within the Athena Health patient portal. Available at the DWOG Arrowhead office, mammograms screen for breast cancer and are recommended every 1-2 years for women ages 40-74; more frequently for those with a personal or family history of breast cancer, dense breasts, or other risk factors.
Designed to improve patient access and streamline scheduling, patients can schedule up to 90 days in advance and must book at least 72 hours ahead; same-day and next-day scheduling are not available. Cancellations within 24 hours are not permitted and cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance require a reason. A screening mammogram order from your Desert West provider is required at the time of scheduling.
Mammograms at the Arrowhead office can be scheduled:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday — 7:20 am – 4:00 pm
Wednesday — 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Friday — 8:20 am – 11:40 am

Direct emails will be sent to patients who have completed an annual or well-woman exam, have an open screening mammogram order, and have not yet scheduled.
