A board-certified OB/GYN, Dr. Baumbach joined Desert West in 2026. She earned her Master of Public Health degree at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, her Doctorate from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix, and then completed a Phoenix Integrated Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Maricopa Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center.
Prior to joining Desert West, Dr. Baumbach worked for a large group practice in California, first as a general OB/GYN and then as an OB hospitalist. As an OB hospitalist, Dr. Baumbach primarily cares for women admitted to the hospital in labor or with pregnancy concerns, and any women who need acute gynecological care. Through her background in public health, Dr. Baumbach developed a special interest in improving maternal and child health outcomes and reducing health disparities.
Away from the hospital, Dr. Baumbach enjoys travel, hiking, live music, and theater.
