Board Certified – OB/GYN and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery
Dr. Koon obtained a B.S. in Chemistry from Vanderbilt University and a Medical Doctorate degree from the University of Tennessee. He then completed an internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Tulane University Medical Center. He is certified in robotic and laparoscopic surgery, and he has special training in the surgical treatment of pelvic floor prolapse, the evaluation of urinary incontinence, and its surgical management. A fellow of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. Koon has been board certified since 2003 and became board certified in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery in 2014. He joined Desert West in 2004. He enjoys traveling and sports.
